Job description

Atlas Copco Specialty Rental Division is looking for a Regional Business Controller North East Asia to support the ongoing growth in the region (China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan). This role contributes directly to our customer’s experience, by ensuring that our business control mechanisms are customer orientated, fast, efficient and accurate. The successful candidate will serve as an integral part of the management team of Specialty Rental North East Asia, reporting to and working closely with the General Manager.

Mission Statement

The Business Controller’s mission is to ensure adequate internal control processes are in place whilst taking the role as strategic business partner in the company, creating value through excellent guidance and support which assists management to make informed decisions that help drive business strategy.

• Ensure accurate and timely reporting in accordance with The Way We Do Things and the business requirements
• Promote digitalisation in the finance department to drive change and create efficient, best practice processes
• Lead a customer focused finance department which supports the business to be outward looking and responsive to customers’ expectations and needs
• Understand the key drivers of the organization and how internal changes can impact the overall performance
• Build strong internal relationships which lead to greater trust and greater influence in decision making
• Act as a catalyst in driving initiatives critical to delivering business strategy
• Establish a culture that encourages behaviours and actions to embrace growth, change and innovation
• Create early warning indicators to anticipate any deviations in future expectations
• Be familiar with the local accounting, tax and statutory legal requirements of China, Taiwan, South Korea and Japan, assist in the effective and healthy development of the business.

What we expect of you? 

Experience requirements
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years practical experience in business control or in a senior accounting or business controller support role. They will be able to demonstrate experience with ERP and accounting systems as well as statutory accounting and taxation requirements. 

Knowledge
We are looking for a candidate with a university degree in accounting or a similar discipline who can demonstrate sound knowledge of The Way, accounting practices and Atlas Copco systems. 
Fluency in English is required.

Educational requirements
University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar.

Personality requirements
You should be dynamic and results oriented person, capable of working independently as well as enjoy being part of a team. Strong analytical skills, good attention to detail and a respect for deadlines are also key characteristics. We also expect you to always act with courage and integrity and to work in the Atlas Copco Way; communicate, behave and lead the Atlas Copco vision, mission and values.

You should be culturally sensitive since this position will work closely with multiple cultures within the region.  You should possess excellent communication skills which will allow you to communicate positively with all stakeholders to drive change.
