The Role

1. Mission

         Develop business and maximize sales of Desoutter IT Solutions in assigned area by actively

hunting new key accounts, developing current key accounts, following currently valid activity plan

in line with currently valid VCP Letter, company standards and policies.

        As Sales Engineer IT solutions of Desoutter IT Solutions, you will have regional sales responsibility for advanced IT solutions and direct contact with the customer. Main focus will be on Windows based process control system called Pivotware, that could be described as user friendly PLC for hand-held and semi-automated production stations.

        Further responsibility would cover also Desoutter Andon mechanism called DeMeter, that is linked to Pivotware system and to Desoutter industrial assembly tools. In your role, you will be in touch with existing sales structures, being responsible for sales of Desoutter industrial tools. There are already existing users of this system in the area. Key would be to be in touch with existing customers, but the main focus would be to identify new business opportunities. You could cooperate with the existing sales team, but the key would be also to identify new potential users out of the existing customer portfolio.

       Crucial part of the sales activities would be technical presentations in local language using demonstration equipment, detailed mapping of customer needs and preparation of complex price quotations. Advanced presentations could also be done remotely from Bratislava, broadcasted from Desoutter showroom.

        You will have to report directly to the Business Development Manager in Bratislava in Slovakia, and you would have also access to showroom and demo room in Bratislava.

 

2. Main responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets according to defined Business Line (BL) plan, as described in current

VCP Letter

• Drive maximum utilization of business opportunities within given area and product range

utilizing all available channels and support functions securing highest achievable customer

satisfaction in line with company standards and policies

• Find and develop new customers according to current BL plan

• Take care & further develop existing accounts and spend most available with customers

• Monitor and report the market situation and competition activities in the assigned area

• Develop and increase market share in the assigned area by planning & performing activities

defined in current BL plan, transform customers to increase market size

• Identify, record and maximize business opportunities within assigned area

• Actively participate on regular BL planning and revision process

• Actively participate on marketing BL plan activities

• In line with set standards and in requested time report all planned & performed activities in

C4S system, maintain Opportunity list and prepare & deliver monthly report

• Report forecast results in format and time specified by Business Development Manager

• Report travel expenses completely and in time in line with internal rules

• Follow and execute IMS policy, objectives, processes and programs, particularly those linked

to job performed (e.g. Sales process), actively monitor changes in these standards in order to

maintain up-to-date knowledge of the processes

• Act fully in line with Business Code of Practice, The Way We do Things standards, OH&S

rules and other internal standards as well as legal regulations relevant for the job performed

• Take full responsibility and ownership of own professional development and actively

participate on development activities in line with set development plan

• Execute other job related activities assigned by reporting manager or BL manager

What we expect of you? 

• Education: min. secondary school + graduation, technical or IT education preferred

• Languages: Romanian; Hungarian + English, level: fluent

• PC skills: MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

• Other skills: Experiences with SQL database, IT infrastructure or PLCs is not a must, but an advantage

• Driving license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area

• Min. 2 years of relevant experience (active sales in field, focus on technical or industrial

products preferred)

• Independent, self managed, success-motivated, enthusiastic personality

• Proactivity, ability to plan and prioritize own work efficiently

• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills

• Team-player

• Ability and willingness to work home-based
