NPD engineer

Your Role

Main Responsibilities (Give 6 to 8 main areas of work. State what is to be done –to what - the end result e.g. Develop, agree and implement detailed sales plans to increase market share in Europe):

• Develop and validate new product concepts, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Sales) to manage the product development lifecycle from concept to launch.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, drawings, testing procedures, and reports.
• Conduct risk assessments (e.g., FMEA) and propose mitigation actions to secure robust product design and process stability.
• Support cost analysis, material selection, and supplier engagement for new components and technologies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing field data and customer feedback to enhance product reliability and efficiency.
• Report development progress, key risks, and project milestones to management in a clear and timely manner.

To Succeed, You Will Need

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

• Education Level

- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• Relevant Learning Experience

- Minimum 3 years of experience in product development or engineering design.

Knowledge Areas / Skills

- Strong knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation software.

• Understanding of manufacturing processes, material properties, and product validation methods.

- Project management skills with ability to work cross-functionally.

- Problem-solving mindset with structured engineering approach (e.g., FMEA, root cause analysis).

• Other Requirements

- Strong communication skills in Korean and English (able to discuss, document, and report with foreign colleagues).

- Ability to work effectively in an international team environment.

- Occasional domestic and overseas travel may be required.

Location

This position is based in Siheung, Korea, Republic of, within a production company environment dedicated to excellence in procurement and supply chain operations for the industrial air sector.
