Atlas Copco, a global leader in sustainable productivity solutions with a 150-year heritage of innovation, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join our Compressor Technique business area in Siheung, Korea. Your Role

As a Senior Finance Analyst within the Finance Department, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing financial systems, driving process improvements, and delivering strategic insights that support informed decision-making across the organization. Reporting to the Business Controller in the Industrial Air Division under our legal entity Kyungwon Machinery Industry Co., Ltd., your responsibilities will encompass the following core areas:

  • Financial Closing & Reporting: Develop and implement innovative reporting templates designed to ensure the monthly financial closing is both timely and accurate. You will take the lead in streamlining closing processes targeting full adoption by the end of the fiscal year, thus enhancing financial transparency and operational efficiency.
  • Standard Costing Implementation: Lead the rollout of the standard costing system to improve the accuracy of Gross Profit and Inventory reporting. Your leadership will ensure clear visibility into product profitability, enabling better pricing strategies and cost control.
  • Process Improvement & Internal Controls: Proactively identify and implement enhancements to financial processes. Strengthen internal controls to mitigate risks and improve productivity, ensuring compliance with company policies and international financial standards.
  • Analysis & Forecasting:
    • Conduct detailed analyses of Key Performance Indicators such as orders, revenue, gross profit, and working capital. You will identify variances, investigate root causes, and communicate insights effectively to stakeholders to drive business performance.
    • Support the Business Controller by contributing to the preparation of long-term strategic plans and rolling monthly forecasts, reinforcing financial planning and agility.
    • Prepare and present comprehensive monthly and ad-hoc financial reports tailored to various divisions and departments.
    • Lead capital investment evaluations, including financial modeling for "buy vs. lease" decisions, and prepare robust investment justification reports for management review.
  • Accounting & Compliance:
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance of accounting and financial reporting in the ERP system and related platforms, adhering strictly to IFRS and Atlas Copco's internal policies known as "The Way."
    • Lead monthly account reconciliations and biannual balance sheet reviews, maintaining financial integrity and precise reporting.
    • Oversee revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS, particularly in relation to service and project orders, to uphold transparent and compliant financial practices.
  • Audit & Liaising:
    • Serve as the primary liaison for external auditors, notably Ernst & Young (EY), facilitating statutory audits and group reporting reviews with professionalism and thoroughness.
    • Review and ensure the accuracy of monthly sales incentive and bonus accrual calculations, contributing to fair and compliant compensation management.

To Succeed, You Will Need

  • Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required, with an MBA or CPA qualification being highly preferred to demonstrate advanced expertise.
  • Experience: You should have 5 to 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial planning, and management roles, showcasing a strong track record of driving financial excellence and project leadership.
  • Skills:
    • High proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint to efficiently handle financial data and presentations.
    • Excellent creative and critical thinking skills, with the ability to lead projects and multitask effectively under dynamic conditions.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, enabling clear and impactful interaction with a diverse array of divisional stakeholders.
  • Language: Fluency in both spoken and written English is required to ensure effective communication within our global organization. Native Korean language skills are essential for local collaboration.
