Field Service Engineer (Marine)

Your role
Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert repair services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of your customers technology through your expertise. Your work is important for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries relying on these technologies.
You will
- To perform assigned field work on board ships, offshore platform, or onshore site as arranged by service planner or service operation team leader.
- Liaise to ops team leader or technical engineer whichever is applicable for field support needs to satisfactorily complete job assignment.
- Liaise with local marine technical support engineer on engineering matters with respect to technical details, specifications, and other information.
- Generate service report via MAM or other reporting platform then discuss to customer the work performed and recommended follow up actions, either corrective or preventive in nature.
- During customer discussions, reinforce the importance on timely execution of preventive maintenance schedule to avoid unscheduled breakdown resulting to expensive repair works.
- For inspection job, provide timely and accurate feedback on site & equipment conditions through detailed & written inspection reports that would help in generating service recommendation for corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure to comply all necessary marine certificate requirements to work on board ships or offshore platforms.
- Support internal sales on RFQ matters / Sourcing of correct part numbers.
- Liaise directly with customer for jobs planned weeks/months in advance to ensure alignment in terms of scope of work, tools and parts to be brought into worksite, transportation, and timing/schedule.
- For jobs in port yard, liaise with yard contacts and other relevant parties for yard entry requirements and formalities.

- Diploma in Marine Engineering or equivalent
- At least 3 years of hands-on working experience in the Marine environment, preferable with good knowledge in air compressor
- Able to write technical report relating to work activities and technical investigation.
- Well versed in Electrical / Instrumentation / PLC / Mechanical system working principles.
- Comfortable and confident in using standard IT applications and quick to adopt new digital tools and systems for service management

Job location
You will be part of our customer center in Singapore. You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area, Singapore (SG).
