Warehouse Assistant

Your Role
Bring your curiosity to work as our next Warehouse Assistant. You will be part of our Logistic team reporting to Supply Team Leader. Your day-to-day
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory management, safe handling of materials, and adherence to company policies. This role plays a key part in maintaining efficiency, safety, and organization within the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Receiving & inspection: Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities and physical condition against delivery documents, and report discrepancies promptly.
• Picking & packing: Pick, pack, label, and prepare materials for customer deliveries according to established procedures
• SAP transactions: Perform timely and accurate SAP transactions for goods receipt, goods issue, stock transfer, and inventory adjustment activities to ensure reliable inventory records.
• Inventory control: Ensure accuracy of incoming and outgoing materials in SAP, preventing discrepancies.
• Inventory reconciliation: Investigate inventory variances and support corrective actions to maintain stock accuracy.
• Barcode system operation: Use barcode scanning tools to maintain traceability and transaction accuracy for all materials
• Warehouse management: Optimize warehouse space utilization, processes, and continuous improvement activities.
• Material organization: Maintain orderly storage of parts and packing materials according to procedures.
• Stock reporting: Support and report spare parts and equipment inventory.
• Discrepancy reporting: Report damaged or missing inventory to team leader promptly.
• Inventory maintenance: Ensure items are stored in good condition and properly maintained
• Equipment operation: Operate heavy machinery such as forklifts to move goods from trucks and store them at receiving bays or delivery areas.
• Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness and organization in warehouse and yard areas.
• Stock counts & audit support: Participate in cycle and annual counts, report results to management and provide timely support on auditor queries to ensure compliance and transparency.
• Safety compliance: Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, maintain good housekeeping, and operate with discipline to create a safe warehouse environment.
• Policy adherence: Comply with company quality, health, and safety policies while promoting cost saving practices and continuous improvement.
• Additional duties: Perform other tasks assigned by management.
Your skills and experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in Warehouse, Store, or a related field.
• Experience in inventory control, material handling, and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
• Forklift operating experience is preferred; a valid forklift license is beneficial.
• Proficiency in computer use, including Microsoft Office applications, is required.
• Experience with the SAP system is essential.
• Strong English skills in reading, writing, and speaking are necessary.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with bar code scanning technology.
• Demonstrated proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in planning and distribution functions.
• Effective collaboration with vendors and internal support teams.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of workplace safety, Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, and safe material handling practices.
• Possession of at least a Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.
