Mission

Your mission is to deliver skilled on-site service that keeps our customers’ equipment performing reliably and safely. You use your expertise to repair, maintain, and support the technology they depend on. Through your work, you help customers secure the uptime and performance they need to run their operations with confidence. You join the Customer Center Service team and report into the Operations Manager.

 

As a Service Engineer, you ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our rental fleet at customer sites (on/offshore) and within the workshop. You support industrial projects during installation, commissioning, operation, and demobilization phases, guaranteeing optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

You play a key role in maintaining fleet quality, executing preventive and corrective maintenance, and upholding safety, environmental, and health standards during all interventions.

 

Job Description

In this role, you are responsible for field service interventions, workshop activities, fleet maintenance, technical problem-solving, and providing on-site support to customers and colleagues. Your work ensures operational continuity, compliance with service standards, and a high level of safety awareness.

You collaborate closely with the Operational lead, Rental Desk, Logistics, and other internal teams to coordinate planning, parts, tools, and reporting. You also contribute to improving the rental fleet by identifying enhancements and executing technical upgrades when required.

Key Responsibilities

Experience & Knowledge

  • Motivation to work with and be trained further as a service technician in the technologies under the scope of Atlas Copco Specialty Rental
  • Experience with diesel engine maintenance; knowledge of compressors, generators, and electrical schematics.
  • Strong technical expertise (mechanical, electrical, electronic, software).
  • Strong administrative and communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Norwegian
  • Able to work safely, independently, accurately, and with attention to detail.
  • Team player with a customer-friendly attitude and flexibility.
  • Willingness to travel, including occasional foreign or offshore assignments
