Sales Support Engineer

The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a progressive and expanding company as part of the Sales Support team.  The purpose of the position is to:

• Carry out Medical Gas Pipeline System (MGPS) design and material/equipment estimates.
• Reviewing project documentation including drawings and specifications.
• Provide accurate tenders and estimates within prioritised time-scales.
• Provide a degree of technical support/advice on product and design practice.
• Produce tender drawings for customer review.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Interpret customer specifications, drawings to design piped medical gas systems.
• Verify design parameters for medical gas to applicable standards such as HTM02-01.
• Produce designs using the best choice of equipment to meet customer needs in line with analysis criteria.
• Using CAD packages, produce isometric, schematic and layout drawings when required.
• Produce quality tender documents such as formal written letter.
• Provide accurate data as required for reporting of quote values, revisions, lead time etc.
• Resolve technical issues in relation to design or standards

What we expect of you:

The successful candidate should be have great attention to detail with good commercial knowledge and the ability to analyse drawings.  You would ideally have previous estimating experience and be able to interpret layout drawings.  You should be computer literate with a basic knowledge of autocad (3D or BIM desirable), Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint as well as cloud based applications such as Sharepoint, Teams, Onenote, etc.

Key skills and experience essential:-

• Desireable - Degree in relevant business area such as Business & Management, Engineering or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of CAD such as AutoCad or Revit (desirable)
• Knowledge of Commercial bidding & estimating
