Inside Sales & Service Sales Engineer
As a Inside Sales Engineer (m/f/d), your mission is to drive customer-focused technical sales by proactively developing new business, delivering expert consultation, and supporting our equipment and spare parts growth objectives. You will report to the Senior Country Sales Manager Scientific Division.
Your main responsilities are:
- Customer hunting and inquiries
- Customer Consultation
- Quotations Equipment & Spare Parts
- Following up Quotations
- Maintaining relevant quotation data
- Sales negotiations
- Collaboration on forming the sales & spare parts strategies
- Collaboration on executing sales & spare parts strategies
- Customer retention
- Customer complaints
- Collaboration on projects
- Sales support

- A completed degree in a technical field (e.g., mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, chemical plant engineering, or industrial engineering with the appropriate focus) or in a scientific field (physics, chemistry); alternatively, with demonstrably extensive professional experience in the industry, a technical or craft‑based vocational qualification (e.g., master craftsman).
- In‑depth knowledge of rough and high‑vacuum technology.
- Proficiency in flow types and sealing technologies within the above‑mentioned vacuum ranges.
- Strong consulting competence regarding media‑sealed or dry‑compressing vacuum pumps.
- Solid knowledge required to convey the most important industrial applications and vacuum processes, as well as physical/chemical applications and analytical methods. Mastery of key applications, especially vacuum pumps used in F&P.
- Confident use of Leybold’s standard communication tools (SAP, CRM, MS Office).
- Many years of experience in B2B sales of capital goods, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong customer orientation and a proactive attitude, loves calling customers.
Interest in understanding and monitoring the market and competitor activities.
Strong communication skills and the ability to quickly build internal and external relationships.Confident communication skills in German and French (minimum C1 / business‑fluent) and English (minimum B1 / proficient).
