This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape supplier relationships and deliver outstanding results in quality, delivery, cost, sustainability, and technology (QDCST). Become part of our Global Sourcing Mechanics & Electromechanics team and contribute directly to our continuous improvement and innovation efforts.
Your role
As a Category Buyer for Machined Parts, you will take ownership of your category and lead strategic initiatives that deliver value across QDCST.
You will:
- Develop and execute the category strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
- Drive transformation within the supplier base, introducing new suppliers, managing transfers, and implementing engineering changes.
- Lead negotiations and supplier relationship management, securing competitive agreements and fostering long-term partnerships.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings, innovation, and risk mitigation.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, production, and other teams to optimize time-to-market and operational excellence.
- Champion continuous improvement, setting new standards and inspiring others to adopt innovative sourcing practices.
- Ensure proactive risk management, including monitoring geopolitical developments and creating contingency plans.
- Seek synergies across business areas, leveraging scale and expertise to maximize value.

To succeed, you will need
- Demonstrated expertise in sourcing or category management, specifically in technical or mechanical components.
- Proven project leadership capabilities with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and delivering strategic outcomes.
- A strategic yet pragmatic mindset, capable of balancing high-level planning with hands-on execution.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, comfortable engaging in complex and challenging discussions.
- Resilience and adaptability to navigate ambiguity, change, and evolving business landscapes effectively.
- High ethical standards combined with a collaborative and inclusive working style.

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our HQ in Sickla, Sweden.
