Group Financial Controller

Your role
As a Group Financial Controller at Atlas Copco Group, you will play a vital role in the comprehensive financial consolidation process that spans over 400 legal entities in approximately 70 countries worldwide. You will be at the heart of ensuring precision, consistency, and timeliness in the Group’s financial reports, which are crucial for strategic decision-making at the highest levels.
Your contributions will be essential during the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles, where accuracy and efficiency are paramount. Working closely with a diverse and skilled team in Group Accounting, you will benefit from a dynamic environment that encourages rotation across different accounting and reporting processes, providing you with a broad and deep understanding of the Group’s financial operations. Embracing a culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in initiatives to enhance reporting workflows and partake an exciting and significant transformation project: the implementation of a new Corporate Performance Management system that will shape the future of our reporting landscape. In more detail, you will:
- Participate in the Group’s monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, securing high quality reporting and consolidation
- Ensure the quality of financial information reported by the subsidiaries
- Collaborate proactively with colleagues to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within financial reporting.
- Provide guidance on accounting principles and regulatory compliance to internal stakeholders across various departments and regions.
- Contribute to various projects within accounting and financial reporting
Reporting directly to the Group Accounting Manager, you will be situated at the Group Center in Sickla, Stockholm, Sweden, within a hybrid working model that blends in-person collaboration and remote work, fostering flexibility and work-life balance.

Ideal candidates will have a degree in business administration, accounting, or a related field, complemented by substantial hands-on experience in accounting functions, ideally within a Group Accounting setting or through auditing roles. Mastery of IFRS standards is crucial, alongside a proven track record of independently managing monthly and annual financial closings.
Personality traits such as positivity, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability to evolving processes and technologies will position you well for success. You will be both thorough and organized, able to operate autonomously while fostering effective collaboration within a team environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as building relationships within our global organization is a key aspect of this role.
Experience in international environments will be advantageous. Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is a must. You should possess strong digital proficiency, with advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with enterprise financial systems such as SAP BPC, Power BI, and CCH Tagetik viewed as beneficial. Comfort with other digital transformation tools is welcomed.

Job location
This position is based in Stockholm, Sweden, within the Group Center in Sickla. We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement, enabling you to effectively balance time between our modern, collaborative office environment and working remotely from your preferred location.
