We are seeking a experienced Head of Group Legal Compliance to further develop and continuously enhance our global legal compliance framework and support our continued sustainable, profitable growth. A key part of the role is to safeguard and strengthen the processes for legal compliance.

Role overview
As the Head of Group Legal Compliance, you will lead the Group Legal Compliance function and drive the Atlas Copco Group's legal compliance efforts by providing expert guidance, training, and support within compliance, integrity, and accountability.

Your mission is to strengthen legal compliance across the organization, promote a culture of integrity, and ensure that the Atlas Copco Group Code of Conduct is firmly embedded in daily operations. You will serve as a trusted partner, enabling the organisation to proactively identify risks, uphold ethical standards, and safeguard the company's strong and well-established reputation.

The role combines strategic leadership with hands on operational support and requires close collaboration with Group Functions, Holding organizations, Business Areas and divisions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide visionary leadership and continuous enhancement of the Group Legal Compliance function to operate efficiently and adapt to evolving regulatory environments.
  • Champion key compliance initiatives including managing the Group’s whistleblowing platform (SpeakUp), supporting trade compliance frameworks, and overseeing anti-trust and competition law training programs.
  • Implement a proactive, risk-based approach to identify and mitigate legal compliance risks, ensuring alignment with business needs and emerging statutory requirements.
  • Offer expert legal and compliance guidance to executive leadership, cross-functional teams, and global divisions to foster informed decision-making and uphold ethical business practices.
  • Lead and participate in strategic projects with a compliance lens, promoting transparency, accountability, and sharing of best practices across the organization.
  • Design and deliver targeted compliance training programs to raise awareness and embed an ethical culture that underlines responsibility and integrity at every level.
  • Oversee investigation processes related to potential breaches of compliance requirements, ensuring thoroughness, impartiality, and confidentiality.
  • Regularly monitor compliance performance and provide comprehensive reports to the executive management to inform strategic direction and continuous improvement.

To succeed, you will need

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in legal and compliance roles within complex international organizations, preferably with a strong background in managing multi-jurisdictional compliance programs.
  • Proven leadership skills with the capacity to influence and collaborate across diverse teams and cultures, driving cohesive global initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, maintaining high ethical standards, and utilizing a practical, solution-focused approach to challenges.
  • Adeptness in nurturing a culture of compliance, integrity, and accountability, supported by a commitment to ongoing learning and development.

In return, we offer

  • A global leadership role with significant impact on the Group’s long term compliance maturity, ethical culture, and business integrity.
  • An open, collaborative, and inclusive workplace where your professional development and growth are strongly supported.
  • The opportunity to contribute to a responsible and sustainable business environment and help drive our ambition to be First in mind—first in choice for our customers, partners, and society.
  • A culture built on innovation, accountability, and a shared purpose to create a better tomorrow.
