Your new role will be

 

The Technical Sales Representative – CTS will  be responsible for developping new business and maintaining strong relationships with customers for our Compressor Technique Service products in the territory of Northern Ontario. This will include visiting customers at their facilities, providing technical sales presentations and solutions based on their needs and providing excellent customer service.

This position reports to the External Sales Manager, CTS Sales and will work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, operations, technical, finance, logistics, etc.)

 

This position is based in or around Sudbury, Ontario as this is the main hub for customers.

 

The main activities you’ll take care of

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans and follow through with the entire sales cycle to achieve and exceed revenue targets for assigned key accounts.
  • Proactively identify new business opportunities within existing accounts, focusing on cross-selling, upselling, new product/service adoption.
  • Serve as the primary contact for key clients, building strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Further develop our key account strategies within the oil and gas markets & significantly increase our key account customer share, while ensuring regular site visits and information seminars.
  • Provide professional business support functions to specific corporate accounts such as contract negotiation, product selection, terms & conditions, contract administration, price and incentive programs, etc. This role will oversee major service agreements.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and prompt complaint resolution by interaction with other departments.
  • Develop strong internal networks to follow up in a timely manner and respond to open issues with either commercial or technical service.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive account performance reports, including sales metrics, customer feedback, and market trends, on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Regularly monitor and forecast account performance, providing accurate revenue projections and pipeline update to ensure strategic planning for those key accounts.
  • Stay updated on oil and gas industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to anticipate client needs.
  • Supporting in other related tasks and projects.
  • Complying with the organization’s environmental, health & safety, recycling, sustainability efforts and quality assurance policies and standards

 

To succeed, you will need

  • Proven track record of minimum 5 years in technical sales
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve and exceed sales quotas
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to demonstrate value-selling strategies to customers
  • Strong proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, C4C) and sales analytics platforms
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and create data-driven sales strategies
  • Clean driver's abstract and valid driver's license
