Assistant Business Controller

Short Description
The mission of the Assistant Business Controller is to support the Business Controller in ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable accounting, reporting, and business performance analysis. The role contributes to effective financial control and decision-making by providing relevant financial insights, supporting internal control processes, and helping drive business performance in line with company and Group requirements.
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts receivable/payable and asset oversight in close partnership with our Finance Shared Service Center.
- Lead month-end closing activities and ensure the integrity of financial reconciliations across inventory and balance sheet accounts.
- Prepare detailed financial analyses and standardized management reports to support internal and group-level decision-making.
- Forecast operational P&L and working capital, analyze variances, and collaborate with business units to address financial deviations.
- Serve as the key point of contact for audit coordination, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement of internal controls.
- Harness ERP and business intelligence tools to strengthen financial reporting and monitoring capabilities.
Your day-to-day
- Oversee compilation and consolidation of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
- Participate actively in budget preparation and forecasting cycles by gathering data and analyzing key indicators aligned with corporate goals.
- Collaborate with business units to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights for operational and strategic planning.
- Perform detailed variance analyses, identify root causes, and propose solutions to optimize financial outcomes.
- Develop executive presentations summarizing financial results and forecasts for senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and internal policies to safeguard compliance and minimize risk.
Your skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years' experience overseeing complex financial close processes and financial control within sizable, multi-faceted organizations.
- Strong analytical proficiency with the ability to interpret comprehensive financial data and derive insightful, actionable conclusions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial ERP systems including SAP BI, Power BI, or similar analytical platforms.
- Excellent communication skills facilitating effective collaboration across diverse teams and external partners.
- Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in deadline-driven environments.
