R&R
Drive effective operational procurement
- Continuously improve supplier on time delivery whilst reducing lead time
- Establish best practice tools and deploy consistent processes at the Product Company
- Deploy supplier owned buffer stocking programs
- Develop supplier capacity analysis and constraint management process ensuring agility to ramp up/down
- Build strong supplier relationships underpinned by service level agreements and scorecard process
- Integrate/develop processes as requried by ERP deployment and divisional digitization strategies
Deploy Category Managment process to define and optimise local and divisional sourcing strategies
- Develop category and supplier strategies to support Product Company and Divisional Objectives, with a focus on rapidly increasing scale of supply base and improving continuity
- Negotiate contracts & supply agreements for strategic and critical suppliers
- Develop existing or select new / alternative suppliers to meet Product Company operational and technology requirements
- Understand supply market through benchmarking and should be cost modelling
- Define and execute prioritised projects delivering the strategy and maximising CC7 (cost down glide paths)
Technology roadmaps and NPI
- Identify supply base gaps and develop/adapt to support Technology roadmap. This will include developing existing suppliers and finding new, evolving category strategies as required
- Ensure supplier early engagement & alignment between R&D/NPI teams, maximising DFM
- Define supply strategy for all parts through stage gate phases of NPI projects, ensuring selected suppliers are aligned with category strategies and will ultimately provide robust production solution
- Ensure robust NPI project management, including supplier QCD through sampling, cost management, part qualification to PPAP methodologies
- Ensure protection of IP through timely collaboration and IP agreements
Supplier Quality
- Drive continuous improvement in DPPM and cost of quality, with a focus on stable, repeatable processes
- Manage supplier audits and improvement plans
- Sustain and evolve Product Company QMS with respect to suppliers and supply chain
- Deploy 6 sigma and PPAP practice tools especially SPC, MSA, 8D, Lean etc
- Develop legacy specifications to provide meaningful manufacturing and inspection standards, aligned with all functions and supplier. Gatekeeper for new part drawings and specifications
Supplier continuity, sustainability & risk assessment
- Lead risk assessment and develop mitigation plans through improving existing suppliers or developing new sources.
- Actively monitor supplier health in multiple dimensions of supply continuity including financial, capacity, quality, compliance, ESG
- Ensure Supplier selection and performance management supports Group and Divisional ESG goals.
People Management and Leadership
- Grow talent in the organization, supporting and motivating the team
- Navigate the transition into VT and VSC culture, values and behaviours
- Become a key member of the Presys LT, influencing positive change and cross functional collaboration
Processes and compliance
- Support deployment, compliance and evolution of VTBA Purchase to Pay procurement processes.
- Ensure supply base compliance with AC Business Code of Practice and any related legal/Group requirements.
Skills & Knowledge & Experience
- Korean speaker and experience in Korean business culture essential
- Fluent in English and excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization
- Minimum of 7 years in a senior procurement role, including 2 years leading and driving procurement teams in a manufacturing environment
- Inspirational and supportive people manager, able to motivate and grow a new team
- Proven experience & results implementing positive change across procurement strategies, processes and cost
- Powerful influencer with ability to build strong supplier relationships and committed cross functional partnerships
- Proven experience negotiating sourcing and supply contracts
- Ideally a Masters (although as a minimum bachelor’s) degree in supply chain, engineering or business management
- Willingness to travel when the business conditions and strategies require, and flexible working hours essential
