Your role

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Atlas Copco, your primary mission is to strategically develop new and significant customer accounts or niche sub-segments. You will be instrumental in promoting our innovative products and comprehensive solutions, driving sales and revenue growth within your assigned territory or segment. This role requires a thorough understanding of the market and the ability to identify and cultivate emerging business opportunities.

Your responsibilities encompass conducting detailed SWOT analyses to assess market conditions, competitor activities, and customer feedback, enabling informed decision-making. You will proactively identify new target customers and sales channels, organizing and executing a variety of sales activities such as product demonstrations, technical seminars, production line audits, and solution presentations to unearth client needs and convert prospects into secured orders.

Collaboration is key: you will work closely with customers and cross-functional project teams to gather insights, analyze technical applications, and present tailored automation and product solutions that add tangible value. Working in tandem with marketing, service, project, and finance departments, you will contribute to market analyses, customer satisfaction, and financial performance improvement, particularly in receivables management.

Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, distributors, and manufacturing teams is essential to your success. Where applicable, you will also be responsible for the identification, development, and management of distributor networks. Maintaining accurate and timely reporting in Salesforce ensures transparency and supports business tracking. To succeed, you will need

  • University degree or higher, preferably with an engineering background.
  • Minimum of 5 years' proven experience in sales, ideally within the industrial or machinery sectors.
  • Demonstrable experience selling premium brands, showcasing strong client engagement and market development skills.
  • Comprehensive mechanical or electrical knowledge relevant to product lines.
  • Proficient in key account management, segment development, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills complemented by PC literacy; proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) is an advantage.
  • Exhibits customer orientation, proactive mindset, effective planning and organizational skills, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • A self-motivated individual with leadership potential, able to manage multiple interactions and cultivate long-term strategic thinking.
