Maintenance Leader

Your role
The mission of an Maintenance Leader is to ensure that the premises and equipment of the company are well functioning, maintained and repaired, and the methods in use are continuously improved. The purpose of this position is to ensure the company's continuous operation by planning and organizing preventive maintenances and repairs. This position improves safe work environment and production line equipment's availability. This position will contribute to the outgoing products produced in PC HUA. This will be done through active collaboration with Operations, Engineering, SHE Specialist and Project Leader, by building competence, providing support.
Key responsibilites:
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Monitor equipment performance and reliability KPIs (OEE, MTBF, MTTR) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (RCA).
- Reduce unplanned downtime through systematic maintenance planning and execution.
- Drive TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities and autonomous maintenance initiatives.
- Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget.
- Control maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising safety, quality, or equipment reliability.
- Maintain equipment asset registers and maintenance records.
- Support lifecycle management and replacement planning for production assets.
- Support environmental sustainability initiatives, including energy reduction and waste management programs.
- Ensure compliance with lockout/tagout, machine guarding, electrical safety, and contractor safety requirements.
- Ensure that maintenance and installation activities are carried out so that the company is safe and well functioning in all aspects
- Supervison and taking resposibility for the buildings and facilities of the company are meeting high standards and function as intended
- Responsility for the maintenance workshop area, Securing that all safety regulations regarding the area and the employees are followed
- Motivate, lead and train the subordinates and to make sure that company rules are followed.
- Supervision of maintenance related administration for parts, tools, equipment and systems, making sure it is in line with the Business Code of Practice
- Knowledge of the Integrated Management System and observe its requirements
To succeed, you will need
This role is ideal for a technically skilled and results-oriented professional with a University or College Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field, and a minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least two years in a leadership position. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies, a solid understanding of machinery safety requirements and applicable regulations, and intermediate to advanced English, native Hungarian language skills. Proficiency in MS Office and a strong commitment to modern production philosophies are essential.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership and people development skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels and drive positive change. They are capable of working under pressure, managing priorities efficiently, and applying strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills to solve problems and achieve business objectives. A collaborative team player, they are adaptable, responsible, flexible, open-minded, innovative, and possess a strong sense of urgency.
Additional qualifications include hands-on experience or willingness to work with mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic systems, as well as experience with CMMS systems and SAP. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies, along with practical TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) implementation experience, will be considered a strong advantage.
