Operative Purchasing Team Coordinator

Your role
As a Operative Purchasing Team Coordinator, your are responsible for overseeing and harmonizing the daily purchasing operations within the organization. This role goes beyond standard buyer tasks and focuses on coordination, process optimization, and team alignment.
You will
- Order Placement & Supplier Management
- Create and process purchase orders in line with demand and lead times.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely confirmations and resolving issues proactively.
- Shipment & Pickup Coordination
- Organize supplier pickups and manage transportation arrangements.
- Follow up on shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Operational Purchasing Tasks
- Handle day-to-day purchasing activities, including urgent material requests.
- Monitor stock levels and collaborate with planning teams to avoid shortages.
- Team Support, cooridnation & Process Optimization
- Align daily activities across the purchasing team, share best practices, and lead pulse meetings.
- Identify process gaps and implement improvements to reduce administrative workload.
- Reporting
- Supplier Relationship & SRM Support
- Represent operative purchasing in supplier visits and SRM meetings.
- Provide feedback to improve supplier performance and collaboration.
- Continuous Improvement & Development
- Drive initiatives to make the role more attractive and efficient.
- Support competence development and cross-site collaboration.
To succeed, you will need
- High school or college degre
- Native Hungarian and Active, intermediate level of English
- Computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Excel, SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate, analyse and execute
- Reporting
- Knowledge of ERP systems and purchasing workflows.
- Problem-solving mindset for logistics and supplier issues.
- Willingness to travel (EU) 5-10% max/year
