Senior accountant
As an Senior Accountant, your mission is to ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial transactions and records, contributing to the overall financial health of our organization. You will play a key role in maintaining and reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting budgeting and cost accounting activities. You will report to the Business Controller.
You will:
- Control and reconcile accounts and records, such as balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and bank accounts.
- Prepare accounting reports and schedules for internal audiences (management) and external audiences (compliance reporting), including consolidation of financial statements, cash flow reporting, and budget reporting.
- Support cost accounting and budgeting activities, including allocation of direct/indirect costs, variance analysis, and budget preparation.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and credit & collections to ensure timely and accurate financial operations.

- Higher professional education in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
- Work Experience:

Generally, at least three years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or auditing within the last five calendar years.

If the education is not in a relevant field, the required experience may be at least five to seven years within the last seven to ten years.

Knowledge & Skills:
-
Profound knowledge of the Legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan concerning accounting, taxes, and financial activities.

Knowledge of methodological materials for maintaining records (NSBU – National Accounting Standards, and IFRS, if applicable to the company).

Proficiency in modern accounting software (e.g., 1C, specialized financial accounting programs).

Job Responsibilities
- Participating in the formulation of the company's accounting policy and ensuring its compliance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Receiving, processing, and verifying the correct execution of all primary accounting documents (cash, bank, fixed assets, inventory, settlements with debtors/creditors, etc.).

Ensuring the complete, reliable, and timely reflection of all business transactions in the accounting ledger.

Participating in inventory counts of assets and liabilities and formalizing the results.

Controlling settlements with suppliers, customers, accountable persons, and payroll (including all deductions and contributions).

Participating in the development of measures to ensure financial discipline and the rational use of resources.

Timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, etc.) in accordance with NSBU RUz or IFRS (if applicable).

Maintaining tax records and the timely and accurate calculation of all types of taxes and mandatory payments (VAT, profit tax, social tax, etc.).

Timely submission of financial and tax reports to relevant state bodies (State Tax Committee, Statistics Committee, etc.).

Responsibility for supervising the work of the accounting department (if subordinates exist), delegating tasks, and monitoring their execution.

Representing the company's interests in tax authorities, funds, banks, and during audits and other inspections.

Providing consultation to management and employees on accounting, taxation, and financial discipline matters.
