Senior Product Manager, Liquid Ring Pumps

Your role
As a Senior Product Manager, Liquid Ring Pumps, your mission is to
- Develop and implement competitive products to address customer needs, create value, and align with strategy.
- Support System + Solution and customer centers to drive profitable, accelerated growth of the liquid ring product line.
- Grow the LRP business of Atlas Copco Group to the Top 2 position in the world in mid term.
You will
Strategic/Tactical
- Collect from the divisional marketing colleagues the market trends, customer requirements and competitive situation on the LRP bare shaft & technology portfolio to drive together the product strategy in full alignment with the LRP steerco.
- Lead product development and strategy for the related PCs via the NPI process to sustain and develop ideally a differentiated LRP bare shaft & technology portfolio for all brands.
- Develop and implement product pricing strategies and positioning (including special pricing agreements) for the bare shaft LRP’s
- Define and own LRP bare shaft technology roadmap, aligned with marketing managers of all brands, and present at the LRP steerco (for marketing alignment), local & division PCM/PQM or PSM
- Influence and give input to training and communication plan
General
- Own and drive the success of the LRP bare shaft product portfolio by communicating with MSMs, BDMs, Application, System + Solution, Customer Centres, Engineering, Quality and Operations
- Follow competitive moves and continuously benchmark the competition performance against VIN product lines
- Prepare and deliver internal and external product-based presentations (e.g webinars), training packages (e.g learning link) and technical support material for training and communication purposes for the LRP bare shafts.
- Close two-way collaboration with CCs and S+S globally to bring voice of customer back to the PCs and distribute /communicate all the related LRP bare shaft product information to the BUs and S+S to enable sales success.
- Support and close communication to enable S+S to ensure the most competitive proposals of LRP systems
- Manage Product Development LRP bare shaft Projects from initial feasibility to full market introduction within the set time frame/cost price and according to the quality standards and in line with the LRP bare shaft product strategy.
- Report to PCM, PQM and PSM and be a key stakeholder in connected PTMs
- Lead the development and introduction of new projects, and provide project input based on market investigation, e.g. product scope and grouping, master specification, business case, PK/ASP target etc.
To succeed, you will need
- Degree Level: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required; a master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Relevant previous experience in a similar role including a minimum 5 years experience within the Vacuum Industry or Chemical Process Industry is a must-have.
- High level of understanding of LRP (bare shaft) design, operation, manufacturing processes and global vacuum standards.
- Experience in Liquid Ring pump technical, sales and marketing is preferred
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex product and system related problems
- Strong knowledge of vacuum pumps and vacuum applications
- English: Full professional proficiency, knowledge of other languages (Chinese) is an advantage

- Experience in project management, marketing skills, communication skills, organization, analytical mind, priorities management
- Strong influencing and presentation skills
- Ability to deal with pressurized situation

- Ability to develop/build relationships and interact effectively with all functions within VIN as well as distributors, customers and suppliers
- Be able to communicate information to a group of people in a clear and comprehensible manner (e.g. customer centers, engineering teams, divisional management…)
- Competence and comfort with key Microsoft Office programmes including Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook etc.
- SAP Experience is plus
