Your role

Mission

Your primary mission is to maximize customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality professional onsite service and expert consultancy. You will actively promote the company's service products to generate service Net Income Statement (NIS) growth while ensuring technical excellence and customer trust.

Key Responsibilities

As an Onsite Engineer, you will be expected to independently perform a comprehensive range of duties including installation, calibration, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Atlas Copco tools at customer sites. This also includes the installation, debugging, and basic troubleshooting of Atlas Copco software, as well as implementing tightening services effectively and safely.

  • Develop detailed service plans aligned with service contract specifications and client needs to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Conduct in-depth training sessions for customers on the operation of Atlas Copco products, enhancing user competence and satisfaction.
  • Perform Walk The Line activities to evaluate service quality and provide comprehensive reporting to stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze quality data on Atlas Copco products, managing warranty claims and compiling detailed reports to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Proactively manage customer complaints and open issues, collaborating closely with customers until resolution is achieved.
  • Maintain effective and open communication channels with customers, ensuring transparency and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Coach and mentor fellow onsite technicians to enhance team performance and ensure consistent quality of service delivery.
  • Identify and escalate business and technical risks promptly by raising red flags to relevant parties for timely intervention.
  • Accurately and timely document all working activities and hours within the operation system to maintain reliable records for analysis and compliance.
  • Gather, analyze, and present Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data to support continuous improvement efforts and operational transparency.
  • Perform thorough technical problem-solving and root cause analysis, producing detailed reports to inform corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support the team leader with service contract management activities to optimize service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage safety-related assets and equipment such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fire protection tools, ensuring compliance and readiness.
  • Adhere strictly to company policies relating to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) to maintain a safe working environment for all.
  • Fulfill any other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and dedication to team goals.

To succeed, you will need

Qualifications and Attributes Required

  • Completion of college degree or higher in mechanical or electrical engineering is essential; additional studies in computer science, information systems, or software engineering are advantageous.
  • A minimum of three years of hands-on experience in aftermarket service within an industrial product environment is required; prior experience with software services is highly valued.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mechanical, electronic, and electrical systems is expected.
  • Experience or knowledge in PLC, Fieldbus, and Ethernet IT systems is mandatory.
  • Basic understanding of software operations and troubleshooting is a plus.
  • Excellent skills in diagnosing, repairing, and troubleshooting complex technical issues are crucial.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and general PC competency is required for reporting and communication.
  • Effective communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential to engage with customers and colleagues professionally.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for reporting and coordination in an international business environment.
  • Key personal attributes include customer orientation, results-driven mindset, the ability to learn quickly, self-motivation, independence, and strong teamwork skills.

Job location

This role is based in Tianjin, China, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement. Employees will have the opportunity to balance time between remote work and onsite presence at our customer center located in Tianjin. This setup supports productivity while fostering collaboration and customer engagement where necessary.
