Business Line Manager for Oil Free Air
As a Business Line Manager, you will have an overall responsibility for strategic planning, sales and marketing, operations, profitability and people for the Oil Free Air Division. You will be responsible for leading people and resources, as well as managing costs, budgets, profits, and losses should be ambitious, have a growth oriented and entrepreneurial mindset, and have strong strategic and executional skills.
Your mission will be to lead and manage the assigned business lines to maximize profitability and growth through effective strategies, resource optimization, and comprehensive management of costs, budgets, and financial results. Coordinate and motivate teams to ensure excellence in the delivery of products or services, maintain solid relationships with clients and stakeholders, and adapt to market dynamics to meet and exceed established business objectives.
What will be your core responsibilities?
1. Define and implement strategies and business plans for the assigned product lines, aligned with the company's overall objectives. Includes identifying market opportunities, growth planning, and overseeing strategy execution.
Outcome: Successful strategy implementation resulting in market share growth and meeting annual sales and profitability targets for the business lines.
2. Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the business lines (EBIT), including budget management, cost control, and profit maximization. Prepare financial reports, evaluate results, and make data-driven decisions.
Outcome: Profit margins maintained within target range, effective budget management minimizing deviations, and sustainable profitability.
3. Drive continuous improvement of products or services offered in the business lines, including market research to identify customer needs and implementing feedback-based improvements.
Outcome: Market acceptance evidenced by increased sales and customer satisfaction.
4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and other relevant stakeholders. Includes contract negotiation, key account management, and problem resolution to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty.
Outcome: Strengthened relationships with key clients and partners, resulting in increased contract renewals and improved customer satisfaction scores.
5. Lead and motivate the team managing the business lines, overseeing necessary human and material resources to achieve business objectives. Includes recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and resource optimization.
Outcome: Development of a high-performing team, improved retention rates, and increased team productivity and operational efficiency.
Synergies at this role are key, so to ensure it this position will need to have:
1. Strong cooperation with other Business Line Managers, other sales teams and other divisions in general.
2. Prepare reports and perform activities requested by management within the scope of the role.
Outcome: Effective communication and efficient management within the organization.
3. Comply with Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental, and Quality regulations, reporting any unsafe actions or conditions that could risk personal integrity or cause property damage. Additionally, ensure efficient use of natural resources and waste segregation.
Outcome: Guarantee the safety, health, and well-being of individuals, preventing accidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses, and contribute to the organization's sustainability.
Experience & knowledge required:
- An entrepreneurial growth mindset, taking ownership of driving business forward.
- Degree or equivalent by experience and management experience in a senior role.
- Strong strategic and execution skills.
- English proficiency.
- Demonstrated business management experience at the strategic level.
- Senior Management experience in a Sales environment will be an advantage.
- Significant knowledge of the Atlas Copco product portfolio, product strategy and marketing functions.
- Interpersonal, people management and negotiating skills of a high order.
