Mechanical/Mechatronic Engineer
Job description & mission
Key task of this role will be hands on job to carry out the services and maintenance throughout the Asia-Oceania region.
You will also be involved in troubleshooting and providing technical support for Atlas Copco Gas and Process Division Aftermarket products including turbo compressors and expansion turbines within the Asia-Oceania region.
You will be in continuously contact with the regional organization head office located in Thailand/Bangkok.
As part of the local highly skilled and experienced team you will ensure quality and highly reliable services.
Experience requirements
A mechatronics background would be an advantage as you will be working with control systems such as PLC and HMI, very preferably Siemens and/or Allen-Bradley, alternatively Mitsubishi, and rotating machine monitoring systems, very preferably Bently Nevada vibration monitor.
Hands on experience with rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, engines.
Reading and understanding drawings related to the machines such as P&ID’s, mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and diagrams.
Hands on experience with carrying out motor alignments, using dial indicator method and/or laser equipment.
Experience in industrial gas applications and its components, such as Dry Gas Seal - DGS would be of advantage.
Experience with LNG/natural gas application and its service would be of advantage.
Educational requirements
University degree in the required field or similar qualifications gained through experience.
Personality requirements
Fluency in Japanese is a must, English language knowledge should be satisfying, CEFR B1 intermediate or equivalent.
This position requires a self-starter who can work independently as well as a member of the Asia-Oceania team for Atlas Copco.
Customer oriented and motivated engineers with strong communication.
Work independently in a challenging and demanding environment.
Proper job preparations, planning, and execution, as well leadership and good self/time management are required.
Being a team player and part of the regional and international Atlas Copco team and teamwork are fundamental.
Good computer skills such as Microsoft, Word, Excel, etc.
Analytical and detail oriented.
