Your role

Become a key contributor at Edwards Japan as an Operational Excellence Manager, where your leadership will drive transformative improvements within our Vacuum Technique business unit. Reporting directly to the Service Operations Manager, you will spearhead the development and delivery of robust service operations strategies that enhance efficiency, ensure exceptional service quality, and elevate the overall customer experience.

In this dynamic role, your core responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing comprehensive service operation frameworks aligned with Edwards Japan’s strategic objectives, to support sustainable growth and operational excellence.
• Leading a diverse, skilled team of service professionals by providing mentorship, fostering collaboration, and instilling a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to maintain high standards of service performance, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues with precision and care.
• Collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product development, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to refine service offerings, anticipate customer needs, and enhance overall satisfaction.
• Utilizing insights derived from regional market trends and direct customer feedback to innovate processes, optimize resource allocation, and improve operational responsiveness.
• Championing compliance with Edwards group policies, stringent health and safety regulations, and relevant industry standards to create a safe, ethical, and high-performing service environment.

To succeed, you will need

To excel in this role, candidates should bring:

• Between 5 and 8 years of progressive leadership experience in managing service operations, ideally within technology-driven or industrial sectors.
• Strong proficiency in operational management frameworks and data analytics tools that empower optimized decision-making and continuous process enhancements.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build effective partnerships internally and externally, facilitating clear and respectful dialogues across diverse groups.
• A proven ability to lead and inspire multicultural and inclusive teams, fostering an environment that values collaboration and shared achievement.
• Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English, enabling seamless engagement with a broad spectrum of stakeholders in a multinational context.
