Your role

As a Sales Engineer VTS Japan within our Vacuum Technique Business Area, your primary mission is to drive customer engagement and technical sales excellence by providing tailored vacuum solutions to meet client demands in the Japanese market. Reporting directly to the Department Manager of Edwards Japan - CC, you will play a crucial role in fostering long-term relationships and delivering technical expertise that supports the growth of our Semi Chamber Solutions Division.

In this role, you will:

  • Collaborate closely with customers to understand their technical needs and design optimal vacuum solutions that align with their production and R&D requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and detailed proposals that clearly communicate the value and benefits of our products and services.
  • Provide technical support throughout the sales cycle, including after-sales service coordination to ensure customer satisfaction and foster repeat business.
  • Work alongside cross-functional teams spanning engineering, marketing, and product development to keep abreast of the latest technologies and market trends, ensuring our offerings remain competitive.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting, market analysis, and strategic planning to enhance the company’s footprint and meet ambitious growth targets in Japan.

Your role is pivotal in strengthening Edwards Japan’s position as a market leader by delivering innovative vacuum solutions through expert consultation and exemplary customer service.

To succeed, you will need

We invite applications from candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience in technical sales engineering, ideally within vacuum technology or related industrial sectors. You bring a strong technical foundation coupled with excellent communication skills to effectively act as a liaison between clients and technical teams.

  • Deep understanding of vacuum systems and their applications in manufacturing or semiconductor industries.
  • Proven ability to develop strong client relationships and manage complex sales processes.
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with product lifecycle and technical documentation is advantageous.
  • Business level (Japanese & English)
