Senior Finance analyst

Your role

As a Senior Finance Analyst at Edwards Japan Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in driving robust financial analysis and supporting strategic decision-making within our Vacuum Technique business area. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be integral to the Edwards Japan - CC department, contributing to optimized financial performance and operational excellence.

In this position, you will:

• Conduct detailed financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis to support business objectives and monitor financial health.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with business units and the semi chamber solutions division to provide insightful financial reports and recommendations that inform tactical and strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain financial models and dashboards that track key performance indicators (KPIs), enabling data-driven business decisions and continuous improvement.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with corporate accounting standards and local financial regulations.
• Lead financial risk assessments and identify opportunities to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiencies.
• Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries to ensure transparency and compliance.

At least 5 years of progressive experience in finance or financial analysis, preferably within the manufacturing or technical industries.

• Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial software tools; experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Preferred experience in cross-functional collaboration and project management.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex financial data clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Business level Japanese & English
