Here at Atlas Copco Deeside, we are looking for a Lab Technician to join the Joining Solutions Team, responsible for testing and developing fastening solutions that shape the future of industries like automotive. You don't need to be from an engineering background to apply.

Roles and responsibilities

• Test and evaluate joining technologies like Self-Pierce Riveting.
• Use your practical skills to develop and improve joining solutions for real-world applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, suppliers, and customers to solve technical challenges.
• Create clear, data-driven reports and contribute to process improvements.
• Maintain a safe, organised lab environment and support continuous learning.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds who have transferable technical skills and a passion for hands-on work

You might have experience in:

• Manufacturing, automotive, or mechanical trades
• Lab work, quality control, or technical testing
• Reseach and development or data scienc
• Project delivery and technical reporting

You’ll thrive if you are:

• A clear communicator and team player
• Comfortable using IT tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• Organised, proactive, and eager to learn new thing
• Knowledge of materials science and high-precision industries
• Strong practical skills (e.g. with power tools or lab equipment)
