Your Role
Mission:
Develop sales channels (dealers and rental companies) with the goal of increasing market share, sales volume, andprofitability for Atlas Copco Power Technique products in the designated territory. Territory is British Columbia and surrounding areas in British Columbia. Provide world-class customer service to accomplish the company goal of becoming "First inMind – First in Choice"..
Roles and Responsibilities:
Key Objectives:
• Grow sales and market share of Atlas Copco Power Technique equipment in assigned territory, in line with company targets
• Provide high-level, effective account management to best meet the needs of the channel partners and the end-usermarket
• Achieve stronger share of mind with existing dealers and rental partners; qualify and convert competitive andcomplementary dealers to increase sales / service revenue in the assigned territory
• Become the single-source supplier for our complete and expanding equipment service and support offerings
• Develop and implement a strategy to achieve sustainable sales, revenue, market share, and profit growth targets inthe assigned territory
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with established channel partners and end-users through closemanagement of accounts and attention to their needs
• Train channel partner personnel on available equipment technologies and applications to ensure a broad range ofmarket segments is effectively covered and customer satisfaction is achieved.
• Represent the core values and culture of Atlas Copco at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned.
To succeed, you will need
Experience:
Minimum of five years of related work experience in Capital Equipment Sales to the rental or civil construction industries.
Experience with portable power equipment is preferred.
Education:
A 4-year, bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or engineering will be beneficial with minimum of 5 years of experience as described above, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications/Licenses:
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Skills:
Computer Skills:
• Must have working knowledge of computer and smart phone applications including Microsoft Office Suite; experience and proficiency with CRM platforms is desirable.
Language & Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to read English, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write detailed reports and business correspondence as required to effectively convey meaning and influence.
• Ability to effectively present complex information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and/or schedule form.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in various situations where only limited standardization exist.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Travel:
Must be able to travel extensively (usually by airplane or automobile) throughout the assigned area, Canada and globally as needed to coordinate activities. Approximately 60% travel is expected.
