Your role
As a Business Controller, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations, steering the organization's accounting functions and empowering strategic financial decisions through precise and timely reporting. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you'll contribute significantly to our overall success.
Short Description
For our Customer Center Berema AS in Norway, we are looking for a Business Controller to join our Management Team and act as a true business partner - driving financial performance and supporting strategic decisions.
Your mission
• Support management with accurate, timely and relevant financial insights for effective decision-making
• Ensure strong internal control and compliance, safeguarding business integrity
• Act as a catalyst for performance and strategy execution, proactively identifying risks and opportunities
• Challenge the business and raise “red flags” when deviations occur
Your day-to-day
You will play a key role across finance, performance management, and business partnering:
- Financial performance & reporting
• Deliver accurate and timely financial analysis and reporting
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and annual target setting (P&L, Balance Sheet, CAPEX)
• Monitor financial KPIs and provide actionable insights for the business - Business partnering & decision support
• Act as a strategic partner to management and operations
• Provide decision support and actively contribute to business development
• Ensure clear communication with internal and external stakeholders - Control, compliance & governance
• Maintain and further develop a solid internal control environment
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and group accounting requirements
• Manage audits and ensure reliable financial processes - Operational excellence & improvement
• Standardize and optimize financial processes
• Monitor working capital (receivables, inventory, cost allocation)
• Drive improvements in business intelligence, reporting, and digital tools
Your skills and experience
• You have a bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business & administration or minimum of five (5) years respective work experience, preferably from industrial sector.
• You have advanced knowledge of MS Office and preferibly Visma Business, and other financial tools and platforms with solid digital competence.
• You have a strong knowledge of Norwegian tax law.
• You possess strong focus in quality, accuracy, deadlines, and orderly work, and you have good implementation skills.
• You are capable in working with occasional short deadlines and are stress resilient.
• You are self-driven, collaborative, and trustworthy with good communication skills and fluency in English and Norwegian.

Your location
