Your role

As a Mechanical Systems Designer, your mission is to create accurate, high‑quality 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials that meet customer specifications and engineering standards. You will report to the Senior Systems Mechanical Engineer.

You will

  • Create 3D CAD models and detailed manufacturing drawings for compressor packages using Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks 
  • Develop and maintain accurate bills of materials (BOMs) in drawings and SAP to support fabrication and assembly
  • Provide component specifications and contribute design concepts while ensuring compliance with project requirements
  • Perform basic design calculations (e.g., piping flow, pressure ratings) and ensure designs meet performance and quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and service teams to support project execution, resolve issues, and maintain schedules

You are a high school graduate with a 4-year apprentice course and/or a 2-year college degree in mechanical design, or a minimum of 7 years of job-related CAD design experience with materials, math, tolerancing, dynamics, and systems design.

  • Strong proficiency with Autodesk Inventor and/or SolidWorks
  • Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, including materials, tolerancing, and system design
  • Experience creating and maintaining bills of materials and technical drawings
  • Associate degree in mechanical design or equivalent hands‑on experience

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our manufacturing site in Voorheesville, United States (US).
