This position reports to Regional IT Service Delivery Manager, Asia Pacific, Hockey Ni.
The APAC IT Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality IT Operations services across the Asia Pacific region, with a special focus on supporting the 'IT China for China' strategy—developing and executing IT solutions tailored for the China market’s unique regulatory, operational, and business needs.

Job description
The main responsibilities are:
- Lead and Inspire: Guide a diverse team of IT specialists across networks, data center hosting, cloud solutions, identity and access management, end user computing, enterprise integration, and more. Foster an environment where collaboration, respect, and inclusion drive innovation and excellence.
- Champion Diversity: Be a visible advocate for gender equality and diversity, mentoring and empowering women and all team members to achieve their best.
- Drive Strategy: Develop and execute the ‘IT China for China’ strategy, ensuring IT operations align with local regulations, business needs, and digital transformation goals.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance service delivery, efficiency, cost optimization, and customer satisfaction.
- Accountability: Take full ownership of IT operations outcomes, proactively driving initiatives and acting as a role model for accountability and resilience.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage advanced analytics to inform strategic and operational decisions, driving continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Solutions, Architecture, and Innovation teams to design and implement standard solutions that align with global best practices and regional needs. Collaborate with peers in other regions and support cross-regional initiatives as needed.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure adherence to reference architecture, security standards, and best practices across all IT infrastructure.
- Financial Stewardship: Maintain full financial responsibility for regional IT operations, including forecasting, FinOps integration, and cost optimization.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, including contract negotiation and performance management.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in long-term planning and direction setting as part of the Asia Pacific Group IT Management Team.
- Team Development: Develop the overall capabilities of the IT Operations team, with a focus on supporting women’s advancement and professional growth.

Skills & Experience Requirement
- Proven track record of managing service delivery organizations and leading multicultural, distributed teams, with a commitment to mentoring and empowering diverse groups in technology.
- Expertise in data analytics, using data-driven insights to optimize operations and support business objectives.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a history of successfully addressing complex IT challenges.
- Strong business acumen, financial management, and contract/vendor management skills.
Educational requirements
- University degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with ITIL methodology; relevant certifications preferred.
- Fluency in (local language) and English, spoken and written is a must.
