Your role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be Working in the field service team, and will be providing professional and efficient service of Air compressors & ancillary Equipment.

 

You will:

 

  • Performing routine and emergency maintenance on a wide range of compressed air equipment.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and ensuring a first-time fix for all but the unfixable equipment issues.
  • Servicing customer equipment to the highest possible standard.
  • Supporting field sales and technical support with knowledge of customer installations, equipment history, and any faults or issues as they arise.
  • Using digital diagnostic tools to identify and rectify electrical and software-based faults
  • Delivering accurate reporting of activities performed to the service admin and planning team, to ensure customers receive the most accurate and useful information
  • As part of a on call rota , responding in a timely manner to emergency callouts for critical customers.
  • Handing sales leads across to the sales team to support new equipment sales
  • Keeping a clean and professional image whilst representing the business – vehicle, attire, working environment, customer equipment
  • To be aware of and apply Health and Safety regulations and engineering best practices whilst working

To succeed, you will need

Required

    • A sound mechanical understanding, through qualification or equivalent experience, of at least one of the following technologies
      • Air/gas compressors
      • Air/gas purification or distribution systems
      • Air or fluid pumps, blowers or chillers
      • Electrical diagnostics and wiring on industrial PLCs
      • Refrigerant or desiccant dryer systems
    • A full UK driving licence, preferred clean (no endorsements, points or penalties)
    • A digital mindset with an ability to learn and leverage IT systems
    • Location Warrington
  • Desirable
    • Experience of multiple compressed air technologies
    • A combination of both electrical and mechanical knowledge, obtained either through qualification or experience
