Regional Business Controller

We are looking for a Regional Business Controller - Rental North and Central Europe.
As Regional Business Controller, you will be a responsible for guiding the sustainable, inclusive, and profitable growth of our newly created region “Atlas Copco Specialty Rental North and Central Europe”. This role collaborates with the General Manager and leadership team, delivering financial insights, improving performance, and fostering a culture of continuous development.
The Regional Business Controller promotes the company's values, drives alignment with divisional goals, and ensures compliance with global and local standards. You will report to the Regional General Manager and will be a key member of the Regional Management team.

To be successful in your mission it is fundamental to perform in the following areas
Financial Leadership & Compliance:
• Oversee accurate, on-time financial (OTIF) reporting
• Provide financial performance improvement guidance to GM and senior leadership
• Ensure compliance with The Way We Do Things and local regulations
• Lead internal and external audit coordination
• Safeguard financial processes and policies
• Taking care of the legal and compliance aspects of the business
• Ensuring that the company has an efficient internal control environment to protect the Company’s assets
Team & Talent Development:
• Build and mentor a high-performing finance team
• Foster a culture of psychological safety and growth mindset
• Drive employee retention and development through coaching and succession planning
• Promote equal opportunity hiring and performance enablement practices
Business Strategy & Execution:
• Align financial strategy with overall company vision and ASR purpose
• Set action priorities and lead execution to meet revenue, profitability, and efficiency targets
Extended focus areas are
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Partner with HR, Marketing, and Operations to optimize fleet utilization
• Support the GM with acquisitions, legal, insurance, trade compliance, and IT security topics
• Participate in site development projects (new depots or relocations)
• Coordinate with Finance Hub to drive efficiency and cost savings
Process Improvement & Innovation:
• Take a key role in the implementation and support of the SPARK program
• Identify weaknesses, develop plans, and prioritize execution
• Develop robust understanding of cross-functional business processes
Other Responsibilities:
• Represent and promote Atlas Copco and Specialty Rental values
• Ensure proper use of company resources
• Provide transparency in receivables collection
• Support the organization’s Scope 1, 2, and 3 emission reduction targets
• Elaborate investment business cases in line with divisional guidelines
• Maintain clear communication across all levels and departments
• Inspire teams with Specialty Rental purpose and cultural strategy
Performance Metrics (to evaluate performance, or that are impacted by the role):
• Financial Efficiency: 3% cost efficiency improvement annually
• Fleet Utilization: ≥60%
• Employee Retention Rate Improvement
• Training & Development: Team development progress and succession readiness
• New ERP (SPARK) Program Adoption Rate
• Audit Findings Resolved and Compliance Metrics
• Timeliness and Accuracy of Financial Reports
To succeed, you will need
Education:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
- Preferred: Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or business administration
Experience:
- Required:
- 5+ years of experience in financial leadership roles
- 3+ years in people management
- Experience in multinational or matrixed environments
- Preferred:
- Background in rental services, equipment, or manufacturing industry
- Experience with M&A financial analysis

Job location
As Regional Business Controller, you will be based in our regional HQ in Warsaw, Poland.
