Business Development Engineer Industrial Gases and High Pressure
Bring your curiosity to work as our next Business Development Specialist. You will be part of our Sales team reporting to Business Developmet Manager Industrial Air. In this role, your mission is to:
- Grow substantially the market share for Industrial Gases and High-Pressure solutions. Start the process alone to point out that opportunities do exist and drag all the sales teams into the process by setting a business example.
- Develop Sales in Poland and support the existing sales team for all GG/HP applications. Define challenging but achievable SMARTgoals for business and people.
- Prepare a business plan for the Poland implementation through close cooperation with the sales team and Business Line Manager.
You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers.
Short Description
- Being the Business Development Engineer for Industrial Gases and High-Pressure product line, selling directly to all areas of Poland and cooperating closely with Business Line Manager AII and Sales Engineers both AII and AIF in receiving leads and visiting customers. Making sure that they are all equipped with the necessary support to identify opportunities and actively promote Industrial Gases solutions.
- Cooperating closely with Credit Controller in Poland to verify potential customers regarding their financial capacity according to company’s credit policy.
- Cooperating closely with the Industrial Gases and High-Pressure Regional Business Development Manager, the Product Managers/Specialists in Product Companies to clarify the technical aspects of the proposals.
- Coordinating regularly with the Logistics Department in Poland for orders processing.
Your day-to-day

- Start with active AC clientele. Recognize applications potential through a proper segmentation of our existing customers and define potential market opportunities for GG/HP Solutions.
- Share information with all the Sales Teams with respect to Market Segmentation and take initiative towards potential business.
- Cooperate with the Sales Team and Business Line Manager to build the strategy in the competitive market. Prepare a SWOT analysis for the main competitors; map the customers to prepare targeted proposals that would cover their needs.
- Understand customer value drivers; visualize return on investment and total cost of ownership to influence customer-buying decisions.
- Set up a network and work yourself into the basic application to push the business. Take advantage of the strong AC brand and build up a long and strong relationship with customers, OEMs and key accounts.
- Optimize the market coverage in Poland collecting Marketing Attributes in CRM system (C4C) to continuously improve our efficiency and territory management
- Provide input for the Product Specialists and Managers and push to improve the equipment learning level of all the product lines.
- Contribute to the development of the local sales teams regarding sales tools and training. Aim to create an environment where your colleagues feel excited, energized, committed and are willing to contribute to the goals set by the organization.
Your skills and experience
- Strong business acumen and a proven tracking record of market understanding is a must.
- At least 3 years’ proven sales experience in B2B or B2C in industrial gases and/or compressor product lines holding a strong record of building the market and bringing value added sales to the organization.
- Applications Process Engineering Roles are also appreciated.
- Working with OEM and key accounts is a plus.

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco Poland headquqrters in Warszawa, Poland (PL).
