Your role

This position is responsible for disassembly / assembly of diesel/natural gas engines components in a shop environment. Successful candidates should display independent decision-making skills, possess good written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work with others and follow company policy

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Rigging up multiple makes and models of engines to dynamometer (installing engine to carts, mounting flywheel adapters, driveline, intake, exhaust, fuel and electrical)
  • Modifying ECM calibrations to allow for dyno runs
  • Following dyno run procedures and capturing run reports 
  • Minor electrical troubleshooting
  • Checking and adjusting valves and injectors
  • Dressing out and painting of engine packages
  • Assisting engine shop in disassembly and cleaning of engines brought in for overhaul
  • Maintaining an organized workspace 

To succeed, you will need

Experience:

  • This position requires a minimum of 2-3 years of experience with major brand equipment & engines. 
  • Electronic engine diagnosis and troubleshooting experience and/or training is required

 

Education:

A High School diploma or GED is required

 

Skills

  • This position requires a highly self-motivated individual with the ability to think ahead, work with minimal supervision and take pride in maintaining the highest standards of quality while keeping the best interest of the customer at mind.
  • Must demonstrate basic intelligence, mechanical aptitude, good character, and the ability to communicate both written and orally with management and fellow employees.
  • A qualified applicant must also own basic tools and be available to work some OT.
  • Factory training on Cummins, John Deere, Isuzu, and Perkins engines will be provided to qualified candidates.

You will be part of our service center in White Oak TX. You will join a dynamic field service team, working remotely and spending a significant amount of time traveling to visit customers within your designated area, United States (US).
