The role
- Design state-of-the-art control and monitoring systems for a variety of applications in the world of compressed air and gas systems. You create functional code that adds 'intelligence' to our systems (e.g. optimization, pattern recognition, recommendations).
- Improve new ideas, track related research, develop new concepts and prototype ideas.
- Keep track of latest and potentially promising technologies. Define relevancy by proof of concepts and real-life testing.
- Set up collaborations with third parties by partnerships, funded projects and bilateral contracts (academics, research institutes, …).
- Together with the team you bring your ideas and concepts to the market (e.g. products that create value).
- Be a focal point and technical lead from start to completion of development projects.
- Communicate technical innovations and project statuses through reports and regular presentations to our stakeholders and divisional management.
- Provide technical support to external and internal customers.
You will report to the teamleader engineering.
This is a hybrid position, with the main location onsite in Antwerp, Belgium. "#LI-Hybrid"

- You have a technical education background (master's in physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics or related engineering field).
- 1+ years of experience in programming using different simulation environments (Matlab, Simulink, …) and high-level languages (Python, R, …)
- Interest in control theory, signal processing, dynamics of complex systems, artificial intelligence and algorithm development.
- You are passionate about the newest trends in embedded control systems, control algorithms, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
