Your role

The Beyond Air Task Force is responsible for developing and maintaining new compression technologies for gas applications. Developments can start from a blank paper to upgrading current products as well as searching for innovations together with our internal customers, R&D-cells and external parties. The team oversees the entire process from product strategy, design and testing up to operations and customer delivery.

Our ambition is now to grow our gas application knowledge and use it as leverage to define our product and manufacturing strategy. In order to bring to life our vision, we are now looking for an Application Engineering Lead.

In this exciting role, you: 

  • Translate thermodynamics knowledge, application insights and market needs into a global product strategy
  • Collaborate closely with our internal customers, in order to anticipate and accommodate costumer needs
  • Analyze and evaluate gas application use cases to identify opportunities for innovation 
  • Provide input on product design and development from a process and application prospective
  • Analyze and process customer requests with respect to special gas applications
  • Dive into existing, evolving and rising technologies in the gas industry 
  • Gather feedback from customer centers and field engineers to refine application strategies and product features

In this position you will report to the Beyond-Air Task Force Leader. 

To succeed, you will need

  • You have 2 years of experience, working in an engineering environment
  • The successful candidate has a master in Mechanical/Energy engineering or equivalent in experience. PhD is considered a plus. 
  • Extensive thermodynamics knowledge 
  • Experience in the process gas industry is considered a plus. 
  • You have a very good knowledge of English. An additional language is considered as a plus.

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our site in Wilrijk, Antwerp.
