Your role
All our actual and new cyber physical system (CPS) products and services should be cyber secure and must follow all evolving legislation.
In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of best practices in cyber security across all products and services developed in our cyber physical systems group.
You will be reporting to the team leader CPS process & lifecycle management.
This challenging role include:
- Work closely together with various CPS teams to ensure the legislations are followed, successful certification audits are done, and our systems are protected against potential threats.
- Maintain and ensure our products match the latest cybersecurity standards and legislation.
- Where our CPS cyber security coordinator will take the organizational lead, you will be the technical contact to help our products become more secure.
- Maintain and review comprehensive policies and procedures. Inside our CPS, but also have close cooperation with other stakeholders like our group IT organization.
- Train our CPS organizations and stakeholders on this topic.
- Conduct regular internal security audits and risk assessments together with external partners + act on security incidents and breaches.
- Ensuring you are up to date with the latest changes in regulation/legislation and translating these changes towards the organization.
Furthermore, you establish and ensure your work:
- You closely interact with other CPS teams within Airtec division, and other stakeholders in the CT business area and provide state-of-the-art consultancy.
- You are the main contact for technical product security related questions, and provide assistance within other CPS teams within Airtech.
- You discover which products require more attention and organize your work accordingly.
- You look for innovations that can make your life easy (GenAI, external parties, academics, …).

- Higher technical or scientific university degree in computer science or equivalent experience, with a willingness to complete additional cybersecurity certifications and trainings.
- Passion for finding and preventing security loopholes in our CPS products and services, combined with a strong interest in control engineering, embedded hardware and software, and emerging IoT technologies.
- Proven experience in cyber security implementations and assessments in embedded systems development Knowledge of threat modeling concepts such as STRIDE and Mitre embedded frameworks, with experience in security compliance standards like IEC 62443, ISO 27001, or NIST SP 800-53 considered a plus.
- Professional communication skills in English, with the ability to handle bidirectional translation between technical and managerial requirements.

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our sit in Wilrijk.
