Your role
Within the Compressor Technique business area, adsorption media is one of the growing core product branches in the air & gas treatment portfolio. The Airtec division invests intensively in expanding the product team and upscaling the production capacity and available competences. Our mission focuses on the successful launch of new dryer media products and processes, facilitating both thorough R&D on material and application level as the translation towards commercially viable end products and field support services. We build strong customer relations founded on guaranteed quality, delivery reliability and open communication. These are crucial pillars to diversify our roadmap activities and identify new product applications.
As Ceramics taskforce leader, you are responsible for the further development of your self-steering team, consisting of multicompetent experts with a diverse technical background. You communicate and integrate the mission and vision of your team in the daily activities, and you facilitate self-steering operations through flexible and agile touchpoints that highlight the present safety culture and our creative spirit. Embracing the complexity and volatility of our industry and target markets, you expand the portfolio of air & gas treatment solutions with products and applications based on ceramic substrates that achieve the highest standards in performance and sustainability. Your involvement spans from initial feasibility to commercialization and field follow-up.
You support the cross-fertilization with our R&D incubator by evaluating the viability of new technologies and by integrating radical innovation in robust production processes, adapted to an industrial work environment. With passion for technology, innovation and operational excellence, you manage a vast project portfolio spanning product development, asset investment, automation and continuous improvement. In addition, you are responsible for the P&L and operational efficiency of your product line, as you actively monitor the profitability of your products, implement possible cost savings and share best practices with your colleagues.
Within this challenging job role, you will report to the adsorption media engineering manager. You will be active on our production plant in Wilrijk, Belgium.

- Master's degree in a technical-scientific or technical-commercial field, combined with proven experience in product development or people management
- Results-driven approach with the ability to seamlessly motivate a high-performance team and the emotional intelligence needed to handle sensitive matters effectively and respectfully
- Affinity with chemical adsorption processes and core Atlas Copco systems is a plus, or a strong willingness to thoroughly expand your knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and fluent communication skills in both Dutch and English
- Entrepreneurial, optimistic, and collegial mindset with transparent communication skills and strong awareness of diverse personalities within your team
- Customer- and society-focused mindset with high commitment and an enthusiastic, driven work ethic
- Practical experience with QRM (Quick Response Manufacturing) or another start-up methodology is considered a bonus

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our site in Wilrijk.
