Embedded Test Engineer

What does an embedded test engineer do at the Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk? As an embedded test engineer, you will become part of a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team dedicated to gearing up for our next generation of air compressor control systems. Your primary responsibility as an embedded test engineer is to design, develop, and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for both hardware and software components. You will focus heavily on test automation infrastructure, developing scripts to verify complex technical specifications, and identifying opportunities to scale our testing efficiency. In this role, you will execute detailed tests, analyze performance data, troubleshoot complex embedded systems, and work alongside hardware engineers, software developers, and Agile stakeholders to ensure our cutting-edge products meet the highest quality and reliability requirements.
In this role, you will report to the team leader and work on site at our facility in Wilrijk

- Experience in testing embedded systems
- Experience working with microcontroller-based systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- You care about efficiency and have a self-improvement mindset
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, TDD & BDD are a plus
- Mechanical or Software engineering background is a plus
- Experience using Python
- Knowledge of test automation is a plus
- Knowledge of air compressor functionality and operations is a plus

Job location
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco airpower site in Wilrijk, Belgium.
