Your role

The High-Pressure Hydrogen team at Airtec is seeking an innovative Technology Engineer who is eager to drive the development of cutting-edge solutions and help shape the future of clean technology. Based in Antwerp, our team develops advanced high-pressure hydrogen cores that power the next generation of hydrogen boosters.

 

As a Technology Engineer, you will drive the development of high-pressure compression technology. You will take full technical ownership of new technology initiatives and support the engineering team in deepening their expertise in the existing product portfolio. You will combine a strong client-oriented mindset with a focus on advancing technology and delivering high-performance solutions. Occasional travel (e.g., to our production site in Pune, India) may be part of the role. You’ll be part of a truly international team, collaborating across global engineering and production sites to develop technological solutions.

  • Master’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Strong expertise in compression technology and mechanical design principles.
  • Expertise in FEA, Flow analysis, MATLAB and other engineering tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to approach challenges from multiple angles.
  • Proven experience in technology and product development for high-pressure or mechanical systems.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and implement emerging technologies to meet future market needs.
  • Experience in collaborating with external partners, research institutions, or networks to accelerate innovation.
  • Excellent skills in communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including management.
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco Aiprower site in Wilrijk; Antwerp, Belgium (BE).
