Your Role

Join Our Team as a Technology Engineer in Additive Manufacturing at Atlas Copco Airpower!

Are you passionate about cutting-edge manufacturing technologies? Atlas Copco has been at the forefront of additive manufacturing since 2014, and we are excited to expand our New Manufacturing team. We are seeking a talented and innovative Technology Engineer to help us drive the future of additive manufacturing. As part of the compressor technique business area, our Additive Manufacturing activities are also based in Antwerp.

With activities in polymer, metal ànd sand Additive Manufacturing we exploit the potential of AM in prototyping, tooling visualizations, rapid product development and serial production.

 As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with experts across various divisions, locally and globally, across all business areas, and contribute to our mission of sustainable productivity

Your main responsibilities will consist of:

• Lead research and product development projects related to Additive Manufacturing (AM), both internally and with external partners.
• Support AM operations with process expertise and market insights.
• Monitor technological trends and translate them into business needs.
• Develop an AM roadmap and coordinate with other business units.
• Act as the primary point of contact for AM services within Atlas Copco (e.g., consulting, training, co-development).
• Share AM expertise, promote innovation, and foster collaboration.
• Build and maintain a strong external network with universities, institutes, and suppliers.

You will report to the Team Leader of the New Manufacturing Technologies team and work at our site in Wilrijk.

• Master degree in engineering or science, preferably in Additive Manufacturing.
• Additive Manufacturing: knowledge on the different technologies and processes.
• A clear view on the AM market and technological developments
• Good command of English. Dutch is considered as a plus.
