Your role

As a Research and Development Engineer, you will be at the forefront of advancing our organization's scientific and engineering capabilities. You will report to the Scouting Team Leader – Innovation Coach.

 

In this role, you will research and demonstrate new concepts in gas compression, particularly within the domain of liquid atomization and sprays. You will ensure that all research and design methodologies comply with scientific and engineering standards and demonstrate technical feasibility through testing and calculations. In addition, you will verify business potential by engaging with potential internal and external clients. Building and managing a knowledge network with internal and external specialists will be a key part of your work. Together with the Innovation Coach, you will identify and assess the technical and commercial attractiveness of ideas originating both within and outside Atlas Copco. From the insights and interactions gained through your projects, you will create new concept proposals aimed at increasing potential customer value.

  • Master of science degree or PhD in engineering or exact sciences. 
  • Knowledge and skills in mechanical engineering, thermodynamics and fluid dynamics.
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken, for collaboration in multinational teams.
  • An analytical mindset and take initiative for innovative solutions.
  • Clearly and effectief communication, while maintaining discretion and reliability.
