Your role

Looking for a challenging opportunity, where you can help shaping our future products using simulations? Then we welcome you to the CAE team, the core competence team of Atlas Copco Compressor Technique focused on thermal, flow and structural simulations.

As structural simulation specialist, you play a key role in optimizing our products through structural simulations. In addition to performing advanced simulations for a wide range of applications and products, you will work closely with the different product development teams worldwide to identify areas where simulations can improve the design process. You will define the right simulation strategies and ensure that the simulations are effectively integrated in the development cycle. To do so, you remain up to date with the state of the art of Finite Element simulations.

As structural simulation specialist, you promote the use of CAE technology in your day-to-day contact with different internal stakeholders. You communicate clearly on the capabilities and limitations of simulations. And finally, you empower product development teams to use models and simulations where appropriate.

You report to the team lead of the CAE team and will work hybrid on our site in Wilrijk.

  • Experience with structural Finite Element simulations
  • Passion for technical challenges and a strong interest in product development
  • A problem-solving mindset and creativity to come up with novel design features
  • A critical attitude and attention to detail
  • An entrepreneur who communicates fluently
  • Master of Engineering Science or Master of Science / a Phd or research experience in the domain is an advantage

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our Atlas Copco airpower site in Wilrijk; Antwerp, Belgium (BE).
