Technical Project Leader - Smart condition monitoring systems
Your role
Smart condition monitoring systems are driving remarkable progress across industries, particularly in the field of large industrial machinery such as compressors. These advanced technologies make it possible to monitor component wear in real time, support in-depth fault diagnostics, and provide valuable insights into expected performance, equipment condition, maintenance planning, and spare parts needs. Throughout the entire operational life cycle of compressors and compressed gas systems, system controls can be continuously refined and optimized. Together, these innovations increase reliability, boost efficiency, and enable effective cost management over the equipment’s service life.
We invite you to play a key role in integrating smart condition monitoring systems into our products and services. You’ll join a dedicated, collaborative, and welcoming team that leads both early-stage research, from idea to concept, and subsequent product development in smart condition monitoring technology.
As a Technical Project Leader, you will contribute to the development and integration of intelligent condition monitoring systems that leverage high-frequency sensor data, such as vibration signals. This is a project-oriented role in a dynamic environment, offering plenty of variety and hands-on involvement.
The position goes beyond traditional project leadership: it requires active participation in technical tasks and a genuine enthusiasm for hands-on engineering work. The scope of your responsibilities will depend on your experience, with room for growth and development as you advance. In this role, you will take ownership of product development projects — guiding them from initial concept through feasibility studies, requirements definition, and system architecture, all the way to launch and post-launch support. You will coordinate cross-functional design activities, collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure manufacturability, serviceability, and cost efficiency. You will also oversee prototype builds, verification and validation testing, and release processes, ensuring all documentation and readiness gates are met. Clear communication is key, you will regularly report project status, decisions, and escalations to stakeholders and management. Beyond development, you will support product introduction and continuous improvement efforts by providing demonstrations, training, and field support when needed. Finally, you will actively contribute to research initiatives within the team, applying your expertise to help advance the next generation of smart condition monitoring technology.
