Within the Service Division of Compressor Technique, we are committed to achieving optimal availability of components and services, ensuring our clients receive exceptional service. Our data team spans three locations and includes members from ten different nationalities, all working together to deliver data-driven insights. The solutions we develop empower 10,000 individuals in the service division to make informed, day-to-day decisions.

 

We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer passionate about building scalable data pipelines, optimizing data flows, and enabling data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate across departments to shape purposeful data products and ensure insights are accessible and actionable.

 

In this role, you will design and build a secure, reusable code base as well as data assets and pipelines (ETL/ELT). Together with the product team, you will take ownership of end-to-end data products by defining their purpose, roadmap, and delivery. You will also advise on data model design and overall architecture, ensuring robust and scalable solutions. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders and the product team to deliver dashboards and Intelligent Agents that support our Operations and Technical Support departments.

  • Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • 3–6 years of experience in data engineering, with strong skills in SQL, Python, and data modelling
  • Experience with BI principles, dimensional modelling, and data visualization is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and documentation practices, with knowledge of Azure tools (e.g., Databricks) considered a plus
  • Interest in modern technologies and industrial data contexts, along with an understanding of agile methodologies or product ownership principles

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at Airpower in Wilrijk, Belgium (BE).
