Your role

What does a logistics project engineer do at the Atlas Copco Group in Wilrijk? As a logistics project engineer, you will join the shipping & transport team within our Airpower Service Center (ASC). In this role, you are responsible for defining, analyzing, implementing, and supporting our outbound logistical processes.

 

Your daily flow as a logistics project engineer involves managing the end-to-end implementation of logistical projects across both administrative and physical material flows. You set up new transport flows, smoothly integrate new transport partners, and optimize existing processes, procedures, and working methods. A key part of your responsibility is driving continuous improvement within our shipping and transport management system (TMS) while guiding the associated change management process.

 

You collaborate closely with our IT department to coordinate project execution, critically evaluate our operations, and proactively prepare the migration from our current TMS to our future transport platform. You will report to the shipping & transport manager and work via a hybrid model at our facility in Wilrijk.

  • University degree (Master or Bachelor) in Business Engineering (Handelsingenieur), Applied Economics (TEW), Industrial/Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • Strong analytical mindset and a solid understanding of business dynamics to easily translate operational challenges into smart solutions

  • Professional communication skills with native or fluent level proficiency in both Dutch and English (other languages are a plus)

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with experience in Power BI or SQL considered a distinct advantage

  • Dynamic, constructive, and results-oriented personality with a highly collaborative spirit and the ability to work independently

  • High learning agility and a proactive, problem-solving approach to project coordination and change management

  • Prior experience or knowledge of supply chain processes and transport management systems is a plus

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at our office in Wilrijk.
