Your future job

Your role

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for defining the organization’s overarching architecture framework in a practical and actionable way, while ensuring it remains visible, understood, and adopted across the Power Technique IT organisation.

Working under the guidance of the PT Architecture Board and its chairman, the Manager Architecture, Resilience and IT Integration, you focus on governance, architectural data quality, and architectural follow‑up, while gradually expanding into broader enterprise architecture responsibilities. Because the role is non‑authoritative and operates in a decentralized environment, you influence rather than enforce. Guiding teams through collaboration, expertise, and clear communication.

In this role, you maintain a strategic, end‑to‑end perspective, bringing together input from management and key architecture stakeholders, including Foundation Architects, Domain/Solution Architects in the delivery teams, and divisional responsible. You ensure architectural alignment, create visibility across initiatives, and “defend” architectural direction in group forums to safeguard consistency with the organization’s overall strategy.

As a coach, you guide, mentor, and train other architects, product owners and technical experts - both on‑site and remotely - helping them grow while strengthening architectural maturity across the Power Technique IT organisation.

What do we expect of you?

In this role, you are responsible for maintaining and continuously improving the architecture methodology and framework within Power Technique IT. You actively engage with decentralized teams to increase visibility, drive alignment, and influence architectural direction across the organization.

A key responsibility is ensuring alignment between the vision, target architecture, and improvement initiatives across different domains such as sales & marketing, engineering, and manufacturing. You also steer strategic initiatives including application rationalization, technology modernization, and integration lifecycle improvements in line with the Business Area IT strategy.

The role requires safeguarding the end-to-end consistency of the Power Technique reference architecture by aligning input from different domain and solution architects. Staying informed about emerging technologies and trends is equally important to inspire the business and support technology-driven innovation.

In addition, you promote architecture principles and contribute to extending standards, guidelines, and best practices. Architectural risks at business area level need to be identified, managed, and mitigated, while workshops and Architecture Board meetings are facilitated to ensure alignment and support a sustainable IT landscape.

You also provide advice and drive the implementation of strategic cross-domain initiatives, while ensuring close collaboration with other Atlas Copco business areas, divisions, and Group IT. Effective communication with stakeholders across different levels of the organization is an essential part of the role.
