Atlas Copco Group produces the world’s most innovative air and vacuum solutions. To provide our customers with a total solution, we engineered matching piping solutions, energy recovery units, and more. To support the manufacturing and guarantee the quality of these aftermarket products, Atlas Copco Group is looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer with knowledge of automation to support multiple production-oriented domains.

 

This role is a hybrid between SQA and Manufacturing Method Engineering, with a primary focus on production environments at suppliers. You will combine technical expertise in automation with quality assurance to ensure that our products meet the highest standards across the supply chain.

 

As a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer, you are responsible for assessing, guiding, and improving quality at our suppliers and within internal production processes. You will conduct audits, follow up on improvement actions, and work closely with procurement to define expected quality standards and ppm targets.

 

You will also support our service center in monitoring product quality, performing root cause analyses of defects, and defining corrective actions with suppliers. You will report to the Quality Team Leader and work in a hybrid setup from our headquarters, with regular visits to suppliers and production sites across Europe. In this role, you will gain in-depth knowledge of our products and assembly automations, contributing to a competitive and reliable supply chain.

  • Electromechanical degree at university or college level or equivalent experience
  • Experience with production processes and automation in an industrial environment
  • Ability to perform audits and implement improvement plans
  • Analytical and results-driven with a focus on accuracy and process optimization
  • Willingness to travel regularly within and outside Europe

Job location

This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing you to split your time between working remotely and being on-site at Airpower in Wilrijk, Belgium.
