Your new role will be

As our newest Technical Sales Representative – Industrial Air Division your self-starter attitude will be your strongest asset as you work both independently and in collaboration with the back office and service department to ensure related sales targets will be met in terms of volume, revenues, gross profit generation, and market development for our equipment products.

This role is based in Windsor, Sarnia or London, Ontario.

 This role is a replacement position and reports to the Business Line Manager - Industrial Air division.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday at 35 hours per week.

The main activities you’ll take care of

  • Maximizing sales of all available Industrial Air products to our current and new customers through relentless sale prospecting activities focused towards the assigned market.
  • Ensuring that related sales targets are met in terms of unit sales and revenue generation while being competitive in the market.
  • Increasing market share in the assigned territory through an efficient sales process and increased market coverage.
  • Ensuring proper & professional follow-up of customers/prospects and coordination with distributors operating within the assigned territory.
  • Managing the day-to-day sales activities, developing action plans and schedules to identify specific sales prospects, targets and markets through the common CRM tool.
  • Following up on customers and new leads and referrals resulting from service activities.
  • Preparing and presenting quotes, proposals, pricing and credit terms and obtaining, developing, delivering, and presenting sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs.
  • Promoting the latest Industrial Air business concepts throughout the assigned territory, develop and extend the existing customer base as well as identify new business opportunities.
  • Gathering information about the market potential, competitor’s activities, new applications and constantly reporting these to the immediate manager.
  • Ensuring appropriate and adequate collaboration with our back office, service operations, service sales teams and other equipment sales teams to attain sustainable, high-level customer satisfaction.
  • Promoting, respecting and committing to Atlas Copco’s company rules and policies.

 

What you can expect from us

  • Base salary of $60,000 to $70,000 with a commission potential of $15,000 to $30,000

What will help you succeed in your new role

  • You have a previous experience of 2 to 5 years in the sale of industrial equipment, ideally compressed air equipment.
  • You are able to communicate in English; verbally and written.
  • Your ability to work autonomously without relying on others, while also demonstrating an ability to collaborate in teams.
  • Your strong interpersonal skills, can easily form relations with others to effectively lead negotiations and close orders.
  • Your experience with sales territory management and its actual implementation.
  • Your technical knowledge of our products, technical education or equivalent knowledge gained from experience.
  • Your intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Office and a CRM system
  • Your valid driver’s license.
